Exceptional. A car-free village, horse-drawn sleighs, snow on timber, the Matterhorn lit at night, and restaurants that take Christmas seriously.
Modest. Cervinia is a practical resort and Christmas is pleasant rather than magical. What it does offer is the near-certainty of skiing on Christmas Day, which for many groups is the point.
