Lively rather than traditional. Sölden is a resort town, and at Christmas the energy is on the slopes and in the bars. For a Christmas market, Obergurgl is a short drive further up the Ötztal.
Understated and genuine. A small village, deep snow, a handful of good hotels and very little noise. Christmas here is about the setting and the meal rather than the entertainment programme.
