What Christmas is like in each
Christmas in Klosters
Low-key and village-scale rather than a big market. In the 2026 season the Sächsi Schällätä season opening on 5 December brings a bonfire, St Nicholas and a children's programme, and the Klosters Christmas Concerts run from 11 to 13 December at Hotel Vereina and St Jakob church. In the 2025 season the Winterzauber on the Montana site by Klosters Platz station ran on the evenings of 20 to 23 and 26 to 30 December, with a Christmas tree, market stalls, light installations and nightly music, and it has not yet published 2026 dates.
Christmas in Davos
Lively and urban. The Spengler Cup ice hockey tournament runs from 26 to 31 December (in the 2026 season) and brings crowds and atmosphere to the town between Christmas and New Year. It is a busy, sporty Christmas rather than a quiet, candlelit one.
