Chalet L'isard

Chalet L'isard is a self-catered chalet in Les Arcs, sleeping 10 in 4 bedrooms. The nearest lift, Peisey Ski Lift, is about 370m away — close enough to walk in boots. It has a fireplace. A log fire on Christmas Eve is one of the reasons people book a chalet over an apartment. Beds: 2 doubles and 6 singles, with 2 bathrooms.

Les Arcs scores 65 out of 100 on our Christmas Snow Score, with the village at 1600m. That is among the more dependable places to be skiing in Christmas week.

Sleeping 10, it suits a large family Christmas or two families travelling together. It is self-catered, so you cook — including on the 25th. That suits groups who want to eat on their own schedule.

Resort supermarkets keep short and unpredictable hours over Christmas and many close entirely on the 25th. Order ahead or shop on arrival. Pets are not allowed. Check the bed layout and what is included (linen, towels, final cleaning) on Booking.com before you book — Christmas week is often sold as a fixed seven nights.

Chalet L'isard is in Peisey-Nancroix, in the Les Arcs area. The nearest lift listed is Peisey Ski Lift, about 370m away.
