Bleu Infini - OVO Network

Bleu Infini - OVO Network is a self-catered chalet in La Clusaz, sleeping 15 in 7 bedrooms. The nearest lift, Fernuy Ski Lift, is about 870m away, so plan on a bus or a drive to the snow each morning. It has a sauna and a fireplace. A log fire on Christmas Eve is one of the reasons people book a chalet over an apartment. Beds: 5 extra-large doubles, 2 singles and 2 bunks, with 6 bathrooms.

La Clusaz scores 25 out of 100 on our Christmas Snow Score, with the village at 1040m. That makes it more dependent on the weather in late December, which is worth weighing before you book.

At 15 guests this is a whole-group chalet — two or three families, or the kind of Christmas where everybody comes. It lists family facilities such as a high chair or family rooms, which is the detail that decides it for anyone travelling with small children. It is self-catered, so you cook — including on the 25th. That suits groups who want to eat on their own schedule.

It is not ski-to-door, so factor in getting to the lifts each morning. Resort supermarkets keep short and unpredictable hours over Christmas and many close entirely on the 25th. Order ahead or shop on arrival. A chalet this size usually only goes as a whole, so it is a better fit for a group that has already formed. Pets are not allowed. Check the bed layout and what is included (linen, towels, final cleaning) on Booking.com before you book — Christmas week is often sold as a fixed seven nights.
