Glamorous rather than traditional. The grand hotels take Christmas seriously, and the tourist office's Christmas market fills the Plazza Mauritius with stalls and music for an evening in early December (2 December in the 2026 season), with more village markets around the valley through Advent.
Christmas in Davos
Lively and urban. The Spengler Cup ice hockey tournament runs from 26 to 31 December (in the 2026 season) and brings crowds and atmosphere to the town between Christmas and New Year. It is a busy, sporty Christmas rather than a quiet, candlelit one.
