Almhütte Auszeit - Neueröffnung Dezember 2025

Almhütte Auszeit - Neueröffnung Dezember 2025 is a self-catered chalet in Saalbach Hinterglemm, sleeping 16 in 6 bedrooms. The nearest lift, Mitteregglift, is about 230m away — close enough to walk in boots. It has a sauna and a fireplace. A log fire on Christmas Eve is one of the reasons people book a chalet over an apartment. Beds: 5 large doubles, 2 sofa beds and 2 bunks, with 6 bathrooms.

Saalbach Hinterglemm scores 28 out of 100 on our Christmas Snow Score, with the village at 1003m. That makes it more dependent on the weather in late December, which is worth weighing before you book.

At 16 guests this is a whole-group chalet — two or three families, or the kind of Christmas where everybody comes. It lists family facilities such as a high chair or family rooms, which is the detail that decides it for anyone travelling with small children. Pets are allowed, so the dog can come for Christmas too. It is self-catered, so you cook — including on the 25th. That suits groups who want to eat on their own schedule.

Resort supermarkets keep short and unpredictable hours over Christmas and many close entirely on the 25th. Order ahead or shop on arrival. A chalet this size usually only goes as a whole, so it is a better fit for a group that has already formed. Check the bed layout and what is included (linen, towels, final cleaning) on Booking.com before you book — Christmas week is often sold as a fixed seven nights.
