Chalet Plan Fert

Chalet Plan Fert is a self-catered chalet in Les Gets, sleeping 10 in 4 bedrooms. The nearest lift, Folliets Ski Lift, is about 410m away, so plan on a bus or a drive to the snow each morning. Beds: 2 large doubles, 4 bunks and 2 singles, with 3 bathrooms.

Les Gets scores 49 out of 100 on our Christmas Snow Score, with the village at 1172m. That makes it more dependent on the weather in late December, which is worth weighing before you book.

Sleeping 10, it suits a large family Christmas or two families travelling together. It lists family facilities such as a high chair or family rooms, which is the detail that decides it for anyone travelling with small children. Pets are allowed, so the dog can come for Christmas too. It is self-catered, so you cook — including on the 25th. That suits groups who want to eat on their own schedule.

It is not ski-to-door, so factor in getting to the lifts each morning. Resort supermarkets keep short and unpredictable hours over Christmas and many close entirely on the 25th. Order ahead or shop on arrival. Check the bed layout and what is included (linen, towels, final cleaning) on Booking.com before you book — Christmas week is often sold as a fixed seven nights.
