Chalet des Cimes - Chamonix All Year is a self-catered chalet in Chamonix, sleeping 8 in 4 bedrooms. The nearest lift, Aiguille Midi 1, is about 1.0km away, so plan on a bus or a drive to the snow each morning. It has a hot tub and a fireplace. In the last week of December the afternoons are short and everybody comes in cold, which is when a hot tub stops being a luxury and earns its place. Beds: 2 large doubles and 4 singles, with 4 bathrooms.
Chamonix scores 49 out of 100 on our Christmas Snow Score, with the village at 1035m. That means it is normally open at Christmas, with the lower runs depending more on the year.
Sleeping 8 is the classic family or small-group size. It lists family facilities such as a high chair or family rooms, which is the detail that decides it for anyone travelling with small children. It is self-catered, so you cook — including on the 25th. That suits groups who want to eat on their own schedule.
It is not ski-to-door, so factor in getting to the lifts each morning. Resort supermarkets keep short and unpredictable hours over Christmas and many close entirely on the 25th. Order ahead or shop on arrival. Pets are not allowed. Check the bed layout and what is included (linen, towels, final cleaning) on Booking.com before you book — Christmas week is often sold as a fixed seven nights.
Chalet des Cimes - Chamonix All Year is in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, in the Chamonix area. The nearest lift listed is Aiguille Midi 1, about 1.0km away. 1.0km to the nearest lift. In ski boots, with children and kit, treat any distance over about 300m as a walk rather than a step outside.
Hot tub, Fireplace, Family friendly. We list only what we hold a confirmed answer for — if something matters to your group and is not listed here, it means we have not verified it rather than that the chalet lacks it. Check with the partner.
Chamonix scores 49 out of 100 on our Christmas Snow Score, which rates how reliably a resort tends to have skiable snow in Christmas week. The score belongs to the resort rather than to this chalet, and it describes a tendency rather than a forecast — Alpine conditions vary from one December to the next and nobody can promise them.
